Safety and Incident Reporting Policy

Last Updated: June 24, 2026Effective: June 24, 2026
Effective date: June 24, 2026

Drive Tutor provides tools for reporting safety concerns involving instructors, learners, guardians, vehicles, lessons, account misuse and platform conduct. Drive Tutor is not an emergency service.

Emergencies

For an immediate threat, collision, suspected crime, medical emergency, or danger on the road, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency authority first. Preserve relevant evidence and notify insurers where appropriate.

Reports

Users should report concerns through the in-app reporting tools or info@drivetutor.ca. Reports should identify the people involved, date and time, lesson or booking, location, what occurred, immediate safety actions taken, witnesses and relevant supporting material.

Reports must be truthful and made in good faith. Knowingly false, retaliatory or abusive reports may result in account restrictions.

Response Targets

Drive Tutor targets acknowledgment of a safety complaint within 1 business day. Urgent safety issues are reviewed as soon as reasonably possible. Drive Tutor targets a resolution or next-step update within 5 business days. Complex, legal, insurance, police, or third-party-dependent matters may take longer, and status updates will be provided where appropriate.

These are service targets, not guarantees or emergency response times.

Interim Measures

Drive Tutor may temporarily restrict an account, hide a profile, pause requests, preserve records, request documents, contact affected users, or take another proportionate interim measure while reviewing a concern. An interim measure is not a final finding.

Investigation and Outcomes

Drive Tutor may review account records, lesson history, reports, documents and communications; request information from involved users; and cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, insurers or legal advisers where permitted or required.

Possible outcomes include no action, guidance, warning, requested correction, document reverification, feature restriction, suspension, termination, referral to authorities, or another reasonable safety measure.

Confidentiality and Retaliation

Drive Tutor limits report information to those who need it for review, response, legal compliance or safety. Complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is needed for a fair response or required by law. Retaliation against a person who raises a good-faith concern is prohibited.
